Contribution: £100 for 10weeks Course - (£10 per 2 hours class per week )- Special concession if you are claiming unemployment benefit = £50

HENDON, BARNET CLASSES – 12 WEEKS CERTIFICATED COURSE

Venue: 28 Church End, Hendon London, NW4 4JX. (By Middlesex University at Hendon).

Days: Every Tuesdays and Saturdays

Time: 10:30am -12:30pm (2 hour course)

Cost: £180.00 for the full Course of 12 weeks OR £15.00 per class

Join the 12 week programme course at Hendon to learn fashion, dressmaking/ Craft and pattern cutting. Including freehand pattern techniques. You can pay weekly prices of £15.00+ per 2 hours class.

 

KENTON, HARROW CLASSES – 10 WEEKS CERTIFICATED COURSE

2nd Venue: Kenton Learning Centre, 86 Glebe Ave, Harrow HA3 9LF.


Days:

Tuesdays only 10:30am - 12:30pm - Date starts - 11th January, 2022

Thursdays 10:30am - 2:30pm and 1:00pm - 3:00pm - 13th January, 2022

Cost: £100 for the full 10 week course Classes at Kenton Learning Centre

Join the 10 week programme course to learn fashion, dressmaking and pattern cutting. Including freehand pattern techniques.

 

Items to Bring to Class: Notebook, pen, pencil, dressmakers chalk, kaliko, folder to keep hand outs and leaflets, pins, scissors for fabrics, scissors for pattern cutting (initial stage). Threads, tape measure.

(You can buy the materials at the centre if you wish at a very low cost.)


Adult Dressmaking / Fashion Design and Pattern Cutting Class Course description:


  • Participants will learn all levels from beginner to advanced. From basic dressmaking including fashion design / arts and crafts – Giving participants choices to add to their skills in free hand cutting techniques and dressmaking final finish to a professional standard.


  • Beginners will be given lessons in introduction to sewing machine, fabric properties, pattern making their first foundation skirt , trouser, blouse/tops, dress etc depending on choice of garment.


  • Intermediate and advanced levels will learn various skills and techniques in bridal wear, evening wear, day wear in either children and / or adult wear as well as other choices including alteration of garments of all types.


  • Generally, participants will receive skills training in free hand cutting, sewing techniques and in fashion design to a professional standard.


  • Multicultural dressmaking is encouraged. Tackling traditional clothing / day and evening wears – children / adults as well as any design so far as the Tutor thinks participant will be able to tackle that experience.


  • We supply machines as well as over-lock machine during classes.
